CARDIO

1) Marching on the Spot

  1. Bring your knees up high, swing arms & keep tummy tight.
  2. Perform at a pace that will increase your heart rate.

2) Beginner Jacks

  1. Start in a standing position, feet hips apart. This is your starting position.
  2. Simultaneously extend the right leg out to the side & the right arm up over your head.
  3. Return to the starting position
  4. Simultaneously extend the left leg out to the side & the left arm up over your head.
  5. Return to the starting position.
  6. Repeat.
  7. Perform at a pace that will increase your heart rate.

3) Step ups

  1. Use a low chair/bench/step, making sure it is secure.
  2. Place the right foot on the elevated platform. Step on the platform by extending the hip and the knee of your right leg. Use the heel mainly to lift the rest of your body up and place the foot of the left leg on the platform as well. Breathe out as you come up.
  3. Step down with the right leg by flexing the hip and knee of the left leg as you inhale. Return to the original standing position by placing the left foot next to the right foot on the initial position.
  4. Repeat with the left leg, then again with the right leg & so on.
  5. Perform at a pace that will increase your heart rate.

4) Light Jogging on the Spot

  1. Jog lightly on the spot.
  2. Perform at a pace that will increase your heart rate.

5) Double High Knee + Push

  1. Start in a standing position, feet hips apart, tummy tight.
  2. Simultaneously bring one knee up and extend both your arms out in front of you.
  3. Repeat with the other knee & so on.
  4. Perform at a pace that will increase your heart rate.
